The European tours have been SO interesting and I've learned so much, both musically and as a person.. Me and my friends had a great evening at the 8th annual bluesfest in Östersund , Sweden .. Showcasing some vintage stuff in these clips, a Levin guitar from 1936 and 1907, a violin, 1933 National Duolian.. I've had the idea for a while to bring along an accordion and mandolin to the blend.. I love all kinds of ol'timey instruments!!! Must get me a banjo soon..  2007-11-04

-Opening act for John Hiatt,  Wednesday, November 7th!!! Mr. Hiatt is one of the foremost songwriters in the world in my opinion!! I now have the honour to be warming up for his gig in Trondheim, Norway and it feels just great!! So if you live in mid-scandinavia I sure would recommend you a trip to Trondheim on Wednesday, November 7th!! This is a joint event between Trondheim Live and Trondheim bluesklubb. . I'll be playing some deep-down-rootsy Bottleneck John delta blues but also some of my own songwriter-material, it's not too often I get a chance to play these songs and I'll enjoy to do so this evening.. -Blues Cruise!! Coming up on November 10-12th is the Jazz & Blues at Sea festival that takes place on a HUGE Vikingline boat..!! -Östersund Blues Festival 2007..!! Yep, the 8th annual bluesparty is coming up on October 26th to 28th, this time at Folkets Hus,  Östersund. This is a new concept which keeps everything in one place instead of having it spread out all over Östersund, seems to be a good thing, we'll see what happens!! Hopefully a LOT of y'all will be there!! I'll be playing with my band and it'll be a lot of cool instruments used and played this time: resonator guitars, fiddle, mandolin, harp, piano, guitars, accordion etc.. -The new BJ studio albums.. On their way, slowly..!! Well, folks, I sure was hoping to be able to record and release two studio CD's this year but the fact that I have been doing a great number of gigs and tours all over haven't given me a chance to get it done yet.. Some songs are actually ready but more needs to be recorded!! My aim now is to have them ready in spring 2008, one electric and one back-to-the-roots acoustic!! -Songs of freedom music festival, UK..!! I'll be apart of a massive music festival that celebrates the 200 year anniversary of the abolishment of slavery.. Many roots music concerts will be held in the area of Hull, around the Trinity Church!! More info here.. Feels good to be a part of such a great event!!!  Saturday evening a roots music concert outside the church where I'll be playing some early gospel and blues, on Sunday I'll be playing spirituals in the church during a roots music mass..!! Regrettably these gigs have to be cancelled due to illness... -Summer Night Soul Tour 2007..!! During summer 2007 I'll be doing a duo tour around Sweden along with Mattias Nordqvist on piano. Playing in churches we'll present a program of heartfelt music, be it blues, jazz, soul, pop, gospel etc.. Gonna be really interesting!! Blues-based with all kinds of de-tours into other genres, all played with a rootsy tone.. -Exciting songwriting news!! I'm very pleased to inform you that my song "Spirit In The Blues," entered into the Blues category, has advanced to the next round of judging for the 2006 International Songwriting Competition. With over 14,000 songs entered into ISC 2006, making it this far along in the competition is a great accomplishment and I am really proud of this!! Even if my tune will go no further I'd still be very pleased with this!! But I keep my fingers crossed that it'll stay in competition a while longer.. LoL!!!  2007-01-17

-HAPPY NEW BLUESY YEAR 2007..!!  The year of 2006 has been a great one for me with LOTS of nice gigs! The European and USA tours have been SO interesting and I've learned so much, both musically and as a person.. -BJ goes to the USA!!! Deep south, Mississippi delta gigs coming up!! AWESOME!!! Yes,a gig at the famous Arkansas Blues & Heritage Festival 2006..!! (formerly known as King Biscuit Blues Festival). One of the coolest festivals in the US, 5-7th of October. I have been invited to play at the festival and some other gigs in the area of the Mississippi Delta. I’ll tell the delta story here when I get home to Europe.  I'm SO proud and happy!!!  2006-09-25

-Ciao Tropeani!!! The 2006 Strrets of Blues festival is over, my band Heart & Soul did a really good concert with a very emotional feel.. The crowd just loved it and we really enjoyed the evening!! -Copenhagen Bluesfestival 2006 was a blast!! 2 gigs on the same friday night was a challenge but it came out really nice! Wonderful new friends and fans, hopefully more gigs will come out of this trip.. 2300 km's in 2 days.. Life on the road can be hard but surely worth it!!!  2006-09-25

-Tropea Blues Festival 2006..!! This festival called "STREETS OF BLUES" in the Calabrian city of Tropea, Italy coming up on September 17th!! Feels truly awesome since the people and audience in Tropea are wonderful and truly appreciates some down home blues & spirituals.. -Hey, all you reso-freaks out there..!!  It's time to realize a vision I've had for a few years... To finally make the "SCANDINAVIAN RESOPHONIC PROJECT" happen!!! This might take place in the middle of Sweden somewhere, likely Stockholm, a weekend to meet other reso-folks from Sweden, Norway, Denmark or where ever you're from!! We'll have concerts, jam sessions, guitar exhibitions etc etc... Basically, just a plain and simple chance to meet fellow resonateurs.. Haha!! Still, this is just a preliminary thing, PLEASE CONTACT ME IF YOU'D LIKE TO JOIN US!! I'm sure there's going to be MANY attending this!! -Alright, back from Germany and a really wonderful tour!!! Wunderbar!! Yes, the tour came out even better than I had hoped, thanks to the amazingly skilled and great musicians I had the fortune to play with!! -The tour of Germany coming up soon!! January 18th - 22nd, I'll be playing Acoustic Blues & Spirituals with some great musicians in a cool international line-up!!  German drummer Stephan Ebn, the US Double-Bass player Gary Todd from New York and my piano playing buddy Mattias Nordqvist comes along for the tour!! -HAPPY NEW YEAR 2006!! The year of 2005 has been a great one for me with LOTS of nice gigs! The European tours OUTSIDE Scandinavia has been SO interesting and I've learned so much, both musically and as a person.. Amazing how many GREAT people I've met in so many countries.. Thank you all, I hope to see you again!!!! Musically, the best year so far. One other thing that's really amazing and cool is that during November and December, each month my site have been visited around 5000 times by unique visitors... I'm blown away! THANKS everyone who finds me and my music interesting!! There's more stuff to come soon so keep checking back people!!!! Awesome!!  Also this year I was awarded with a honourable prize here at the Östersund Blues Festival, in swedish it's called: ÅRETS BLÅDÅRE.. Translates into something like: Blues Maniac of the year..!!  LOL!!!  More info here..!! And amazingly enough also the Wilhelm Peterson-Berger scholarship of cultural achievements!!!! An award that's usually given to other forms of culture than blues and roots music..?! So I'm very proud to have been given this!! Right now I look forward to 2006 and gigs out in Europe and the USA! Going to be BIG fun!! Meeting new friends and musicians is truly a good thing!! -I'm really proud and happy to tell y'all that my National Duolian from 1933 is ready for playing!! It was totally unplayable when I got it, but I've restored it and brought it back to OK condition, even re-built the headstock to original look..!! See pics here..!!  2005-11-20

-Coming up soon in August is a very interesting and nice tour in the Czech Republic and Slovakia!! I'm doing some shows at the WRA Intercontinental Resophonic Festival in Pilzen on the 26-28th, and some dates in Prague and Karlovy Vary as well the week before, also a gig in Slovakia in the town of Skalica on the 25th..!! Gonna be real nice, I mean, Czech Beer AND reso-guitars in the same place... Sounds fantastic!!  2005-08-06

-On the 25th of September I'll be playing in Italy for the first time!!!
